CHECK MY ROOF

Weather reports identify conditions reported in an area. They do not prove that a particular property was damaged. Never climb onto a roof during or after severe weather.

Regional radar context

See where the storm core moved.

Use this lazy-loaded radar frame for regional context, then compare it with the hail history lookup below. Radar context does not prove roof damage at a specific address, but it helps decide whether a documented inspection makes sense.

Two-year hail history

Look back before you sign up.

Enter a North Texas property address to review available NOAA radar estimates of hail 1 inch or larger within 10 miles over the past two years. No registration is needed. Sign up afterward for future storm notices.

Ground-level hail verification

Check safely before you call.

Stay off the roof. Use this checklist from the ground and inside the property, then share what you find in the inspection request.

  1. Protect the interior.Move belongings away from active leaks and avoid wet electrical areas.
  2. Document visible damage.Take ground-level photos of dents, debris, leaks and storm date details.
  3. Request a roof inspection. We document the roof condition and explain the practical next step.

Storm claim questions

Helpful answers before you rush into a decision.

How long do I have to file a roof hail damage claim in Texas?

Most homeowners should review their policy and report storm concerns promptly. Many policies limit hail or wind claim timing, and waiting can complicate leak causation, interior damage and repair scope. A documented roof inspection soon after the storm creates a clearer record.

Can I check my roof for hail damage safely from the ground?

Yes. Look for dinged gutters, damaged downspouts, broken screens, shingle granules near downspouts and visible missing or lifted shingles. Avoid climbing onto the roof after severe weather.
